Early 15th century Bascinet

Description

A bascinet I had commissioned by Maxim of Wilde Armoury with a typical dome, and somewhat unique visor. This type of visor is found on bascinets in numerous illuminated manuscripts from about 1360-1420. This one has a brass crown, perhaps to signify the rank of baron, a throwback to my paternal ancestor of the period, Sir Nicholas De Hales.
